Who we are

HiShorts is operated by HIYESNO AI PTE. LTD. This policy explains what we collect when you use the HiShorts app and how we use it.

What we collect

• An anonymous installation identifier generated on your device, and a session identifier for each app launch.
• Playback events: which episode you started, how far you watched, when you finished or left, and which recommendation you tapped. We use these to personalize your Home screen and to save your Continue Watching progress.
• Device basics: platform (iOS/Android), app version and system language.
• If you sign in with Apple or Google: the name and email address (or Apple's private relay address) that the provider shares with your consent. We do not receive your password.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell your data. We do not show third-party advertising or use third-party ad tracking in this version.

How we use it

To play video and subtitles, personalize recommendations, remember where you left off, keep the Service secure, and diagnose problems. Anonymous playback data may be used in aggregate to understand which titles are popular.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored on servers operated for us by cloud providers (currently Cloudflare and our application server). Video and subtitle files are delivered through a content delivery network.

Retention

Anonymous identifiers and playback history are kept while the installation is in use and for up to 24 months of inactivity. Account data is kept until you delete your account.

Your choices

• Delete your account from Me → Delete account: this removes your account and unlinks the viewing history on this device.
• Sign out to stop linking new activity to your account.
• Subtitle language and other preferences are stored only on your device.
• Uninstalling the app removes the local identifiers; a fresh install starts a new anonymous profile.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes will be shown in the app.
